You don't say it like Tee two point five, you just say Tee two five-T25 NOT T2.5. It's a very small turbo, but good for low boost applications and also smal displacement applications. Liek if you wanted to run 8 PSI on a 1.6L, this would be perfect. But if you have a 1.8L and want to run like 18 PSI, a T3 or T4 turbo would be better. There is even a ''hybrid'' turbo called a T3/T4 which uses a big compressor housing from the T4, and the small Turbine housing of a T3. This flows a lot of air, and creating a faster spool which prevents as much turbo lag as possible.

No problem, I just hope you understood it all.
What car are you looking to turbo? I'll tell you if the T25 would be good for it. Also, what are your goals-like, how much HP do you want and how much boost do you want to run?

im looking to turbo any 5th gen. civic HB....i plan on doing the CRVTEC swap and the turbo later on but probably wont be using the T25, cause i also have at my disposal a td-04 turbo off a stock WRX which i am told "bolts right on to the manifold i have"....i dont want to have a full blown drag car i want it semi-steetable running mid 12's at around 325hp.

I would recommend a CRV block but an LS head. No VTEC is better for high HP turbo applications and plus it's less pain in the butt wiring.
And I hope you plan to fully build that CRV block, they don't handle boost very well like other B series. The cylinder sleeves are the first things to go, you can't boost more than 6-8 PSI. So if you sleeve the block, get new rods and pistons, you will be good to go to boost about 18-20 PSI with 9:1 compression on pump gas.

WHAAA???? I've heard from many people that the b20 is the most "turbo friendly" b series motor because it has strong cylinder sleeves.

No that's the B18B1. CRVTEC is completely different from the LS/VTEC which is what you must have been hearing.

Hmm, interesting I've NEVER heard that before. I have no experience with a B20, just with B18's and B16's.
Anyway, I would rebuild the whole thing anyway. It's not really a good idea to buy a used engine and slap a turbo on it, that's how engines blow up. I do know that NO B series sleeves can handle more than 15-16 PSI boost, so it might be in your best interest to fully build the block anyway with:
Darton or Golden Eagle sleeves
Crower or Eagle rods
JE or Wiseco pistons
DO NOT get SRP pistons, they are not meant for FI apps. More than 12 PSI and they melt.
You'll probably want to do a custom setup for the turbo, a kit is a waste of money. The real question is, what are your goals and how much boost do you want to run? I mean, if you are fine with only running 15 PSI than you don't have to get the block sleeved, but one little boost spike and say bye-bye to them. IMO it's worth getting them sleeved-you can run up to 30 PSI on a sleeved block. But for the street I would recommend about 18-20 PSI, but then you have the option of running race fuel at the track and crankin that baby up!

dont go exactly buy what you read in those threads, one guy said a EX vtec head will bolt to the B20 cuz they are both SOHC. well im sure you know it isnt but just to tell you sometime people will tell you what can be done when they have no clue.
but I agree to leave it a 2 liter, dont go for the shorter stroke? I think the B17 crank will drop it from 1973cc to 1796cc. if the B17 stroke is 81, which is what i think it is.
and about it being turbo friendly, probably compared to most of the honda engines, like B16a/b, B18c1/c5, H22a,. most have too high of compression for any more than small boost levels, even the B20Z is kinda high compression especially with weak B20 sleeves for much boost. but the B20b is the second largest displacement B series that i know of and is only 8.8:1 so thats probably why people say they are nice to boost. but the B18b1 can handle 12 psi daily(from what i hear)
also go check out this link http://www.full-race.com/products/accessories/ls-vtec_dowels/
they sell dowel pins that fit in the stock holes in the block and the head so no need for drilling.
