Sending unit lines????

Hi,im new to this forum i always went to j-body.org for my Skyhawk. I got a 1991 LeSabre for freeeee!!!, the trans slipped hella bad thats why it sat in this field. Its very clean inside from a non smoker anyhoo we all know what happens when a car sits for 2 years..Lots of rust!! 5 qts of atf,gas,air for the tires and a battery and she fired up in 4seconds to a nice purr shifted fine and positive. I got half way home at a very busy part of town at a stop light she died,no gas. I went and got more gas after pushing her hefty girth off the intersection and got her home. I dropped the tank breaking the high presure line @ the filter of course,two more hole were present along the line, i have a foot of good line left before it angels up to the sending unit. After boring ya'llwith my story,is it legal to use barb fittings on the high presure line and what type of flare would be best for this type of line???? I got the car free and im investing alot in Great stuff and duraglass allready. Time and money are an issue right now thats why im cheesing it for a little bit till things are better. Any help i would be greatly thankful for...- - -...
