i dont post here much so here it goes. today after i finished working, i was walking up to my car and i saw a 4th gen hatch with a pretty nice conversion. the civic had '00 prelude tails and a '94+ integra front end conversion. how hard is it to do the teg conversion? and what is needed to do it? thanks in advance

you need alot of skill with body work or a really big wallet

got any better advice? i know that you need the fenders, hood, headlights, and front bumper. but what else do you need? and how much work will it be to get the fenders to bolt up to the civic?

would it matter if a few parts are aftermarket (i.e. WW front bumper, c/f hood, z3 fenders, etc..) although i would never get z3 fenders :headshake

dont think it would matter if they were after market.. unless the items youre buying say " modifications will be needed " or somin like that.. which is pretty rare.. but heres a teg conversion on a crx i got, most peeps here saw this already.. i propecize they'll be makin the usual comments " the front is pointing towards the ground.." etc :grinyes: this threads been brought up couple times . but heres kinda what yer lookin at :smokin:

I think that car would look better if it had side skirts and a rear bumper. Anyone wanna do a photochop on it and add those couple things?

Its hard.. you'll have to get all them new peices ( hood, fenders, front bumper.. bumper support.. maybe dif. radiator..etc. ) then u got to do some welding.. cutting, maybe fiber glass too.. and just for some 1 to do the body work, cuttin and stuff.. would empty a wallet fast.. unless you have couple thou. $'s sitting around

hmm.... well i already got the b16 swap done, so now i want to concentrate on the show part since i'm building a show car. would it be cheaper get the radiator support and radiator from a dealership or a junk yard? and if i get it from a junk yeard, how reliable do you think the parts will be?

- i think it will prolly be easier to get a radiator from somin else in there.. just a smaller one maybe.. you'll have ta see what space you got to work with first

To do this you need to take your fenders you have now and cut them and the integra fenders in half towards the end. Then weld the teg's front part of the fender to the back part of the civic fenders. Grind the weld mark smooth and the spread body filler or bondo over to smooth is out to perfection. You'll also have to weld the teg's front support onto the civic front. Those are the hardest parts of the swap, that and cutting the fenders and welding them to where they line up with the hood and bumper.

other than the two other parts, the rest of the conversion would be a breeze right?

yeah just make sure that you measure everything correctly so that it lines up right. If you don't the conversion will look like shit.

I typed all of that, so same thing applies to what I said over there. You want that, it'll cost you some bucks.

so the integra fenders will just fit with no mods? or would i have to cut the civic and integra fenders in half and weld it togeather?

Did you read it or just look at the pictures? Oh wait, neither, because if you did you would have seen or read that you need to cut and weld the fenders. There I said that if he has enough money that I would make the fenders for him. So in answer, yes, you do need to cut and weld the fenders. :licka:

the 94+ teg conversion looks so much better on 5th gen hatchs
IMO it doesent fit the body lines of the 4g at all, now the prelude tails work cuz they are more squared but the teg conversion just does not look good to me at all

Thats cool. They dont take the time to get the car even HALF decent and they do a front end conversion, lol.

We gave him exactly what he wanted, so it's not on us. And we took all the time that we needed to make it EXACTLY how he wanted it, so suck off ricer.
and civicHBsi91, I agree. A rounded front looks bad on a square car, much better on a rounded car, such as the 5g. :)
