2.2 to 2.4

Ok gus i am sure this is a broad subject, but my girlfriends car is chattering like no other(1996 Cavalier 2.2/5speed) I am sure its in the valvetrain. Anyhow someone has to know what is all required to put a newer 2.4 in that car. Do i need to change fuel pump, any of the wiring harnesses, and especially does it need a different transmision? The reaso i ask this is becuase I have access to a 1997 z24 motor and 5 speed transmission and i think hers is about shot anyhow. Anyhelp is appreciated.

Ditto but my wife has a 95 3speed auto. and I got a recently rebuilt 96 grand am twincam motor in a car thats falling apart.
