Who here actually likes beer?

So, I've noticed many people on this forum drink beer, but I don't know a single person in real life that actually likes the taste of beer. So I want to know if you actually like the taste of beer, or do you just drink it to get drunk?

I love the taste of beer! Dark beers that is. Not a lager fan. The alcohol is just an added bonus, but if I want to get drunk i drink hard alcohol.

I suppose since I'm not even legal, my love for be has yet to blossom, but I'm kind of in the middle, I like some, hates others and 70% of the times I drink, it's to get shitfaced.

With every beer, I hate it less and less.

Steinlager and Corona only- I much perfer bourbon and Vodka- especially when mixed with whatever the hell you can chuck in it

Fresh Desperado (lager and Tequila) when it's hot.
I can't get pissed on Beer so it will have to be Pear alcool (around 50%vol. alcool).

Kronenburg 1664 is the only decent beer out there. The rest taste nasty and i wouldn't drink any other unless i was trying to get drunk, but then again i don't like getting drunk.

I love the taste of beer. For most people, I would say that beer is an aquired taste though.

And, when I say beer, I don't mean "Bud" or "coors" or "miller"... those are all just mass-produced piss-water. You want some real brew, check out the local breweries. There are a few mass-market beers that I do like such as Guinness and Sam Adams (which isn't really mass-market in my opinion).

My absolute favorite beer is Traquair Jacobite which is actually brewed by the oldest ale-house in scottland, but it's $6 a bottle here (when you can actually find it), so I don't get it too often.

I'm always on the lookout for beer that I haven't tried before, so I go to Huckleberry's which is like an Organic hippie-type grocery store because they have one of the best beer selections around, and you can just walk in, pick up a cardboard six-pack holder, and make your own six-pack one beer at a time... Great stuff!

I drink beer cuz I like the taste. But I have to admit when I want to "drink" beer I go expensive b/c it just tastes good. If I want to get drunk, I drink cheap i.e. Bud Light Budweiser etc. My liquor of choice is Wild Turkey, rarely gives me a hangover if I drink to get drunk.

1st I have to mention that the alcohol in UT is a lower % (statewide limit is 3% by weight) so anything more potent than that has to be purchased at a state-operated liquor store.

I have not tried beer, it's stinky, but I have had a few wine coolers (OK) and a few Mike's Hard Lemonade/Iced Tea/Cranberry Lemonade and those are pretty good. I haven't liked ANY enough to justify drinking more than 2 in an hour or so, which is fine, 2 and my speech is slurred (lightweight).

My favorite beer is probably Rolling Rock or maybe Sam Adams or perhaps MGD... those are the only ones I drink on a regular basis.. personally I'd much rather drink Jungle Juice or a Mudslide or two... White Russians are pretty good too... hard liquor is usually so much better... candy is dandy but liquor is quicker!

Tangie likum beer. Yuengling is my fave. Made in PA. ;) Good stuff. Nice, rich lager, but you can only drink it out of bottles... cans make it taste like piss. To get wasted, it's definately liquor, but beer is good stuff for a football game or chilling with the boys.

Have you had Sam Adams Cherry Wheat?? I just bought a 6 pack last week and its damn good. And I agree hard liquor is better.

I only drink beer after ive already had a few bourbon and colas or something similar. By then i don't really care what it tastes like and dont mind the taste.

I am not a huge beer fan, but I have grown to like amberbock (sp?) and a black n tan made with Guiness and Woodpecker Ale.

Yeah, we've got kokanee here... it's alright, and it's "right up there" with Corona... which isn't saying much LOL.

I do like the black and tans too, but it's just not the same if you're not using Guinness and Harp...

There is a lot more than one beer out there. The folks that don't like beer perhaps haven't tried the right one......
