Skunk2 Exhaust System 8HP Gain!!!! $499.00
Skunk2 Racing cat-back systems are constructed from T-304 stainless steel and feature Japanese Super N-1 design and styling. Each exhaust is mandrel bent using properly sized tubing for maximum flow and is finished off with a low restriction racing muffler. All mufflers feature a single 102mm polished tip with an acid etched Skunk2 Racing badge. Systems are available in Standard (half polished) and Polished. Each system comes complete with a removable silencer and all necessary hardware. Skunk2 Mega Power universal mufflers are also available separately

OR

Tanabe Super Racing Medalion Exhaust Systems $525.00
Bursting off nominal Rs! Tanabe's Racing Medalion is a straight layout with minimum bends and bending angle, and forceful silencers most fit heavy bass noise and high power! Lately nominal Rs are too many. Naming a muffler with an R doesn't make the car faster. There are many conditions required for R being R. Medalion - is released with honorably named "Racing" for the first time by Tanabe. It contains long-standing know and technique. Racing Medalion - 14 years were taken to complete it -is the ultimate high performance exhaust system with spec. Tanabe only allows to name with Racing

And does it matter if its 3" or 2.25" mandrel bent stainless steel pipe or not...which gets you better HP Gains??? Is it WIDER is better???

you'll get the best feedback by doing a search... exhaust questions aren't that uncommon around here.

well if price isn't affecting your choice then here are a few things to look for i suppose...

~stainless steal is a plus
~less bends the better
~umm i'm not sure but isn't 3 inch piping a little big for this application? i would think 2.25, or 2.5 would be best?
~decent welds, I looked at a muffler the other day that wasn't even welded together the canister was only riveted together!! sounds leaky to me...

anyway thats just a few things to keep in mind. if i think of more i'll let you know.

Read articles at team-integra.net to get a better understanding on exhausts and many other things as well.

i always thought 3 inch piping was a little big for n/a applications

isn't 2.25 ok?

3" piping is for turbo apps
2.5" is for naturally aspirated v-tec engines (b16, b18c1, b18c5, b17...)
2.25" is for naturally aspirated non v-tec engines (b18a1, b18b, d16..)

you'll lose so much low end torque if you get 3" piping for a naturally aspirated non v-tec....

for a n/a motor, its not going to matter much on brands.

jus make sure u don't get anything over 2 1/4 in an u'll be fine.

:iagree: maybe 2.5 if you have some crazy cams and head work but only if you have these, otherwise 2.5 will be robbing hp

the only reason i said skunk 2 is cause most others sound like shit......i HATE when someone has a shitty exhaust....this and greddy are the only two that sound good if you ask me.......some people say n1 is good but i heard it on a ls/vtec and it got high-pitched at high rpms, not cool

Man I need to get a sound clip of my exhaust, I swear the Vibrant system sounds really good, not high pitched at all , and not harsh ricerish either. I will see if i can get a sound clip up soon.

Greddy is pretty high pitched to me. I havent heard much else(that I actually know what brand/kind they are I mean). Vibrant? what do those go for?

HKS is high pitched too. I got a cat convertor on mine and it lowered it and hollowed out the sound. Its a low tone. Do headers affect pitch much?

Abou the same as all the others around $400-550 depending on where you get it.

i tried a universal magnaflow stainless steel once on a toyota. the sound is deep and no interior noise. i loved it, it was not too loud. the price is cheap and good quality.

again the sound sounds good, even better than other high end mufflers, but it is quiet at idle.

Stay way from flowmasters, too much interior noise.
