So I may be emerging from the Dark Ages 2night

Alex brought over his cable modem and hooked it up here. He also called the cable co. to get the account transferred to my place and to have the account under both our names. It's not working yet :( But hopefully by later on tonight I can kiss AOL/dialup crap goodbye :D

Just thought I'd share since I've been dreaming of this day for quite some time hehe :icon16:

Well it freakin figures :mad: There's a filter on the line that a tech is gonna have to remove. I told Alex to just go out to the cable box in the front yard, cut the lock, remove filter, relock with our own lock :devil:

Well a tech is supposed to come friday after work so I should have it fully funtional then. At least I got my new email addy set up though :)

Unfortunately, I'll be loosing my cable modem sometime in September when my ex moves out and takes the computer with her. I still have my old computer, but it doesn't even have USB ports, so cable modem won't work with that...

Small price to pay for my freedom though LOL.
