more than a few people have them, and i haven't heard of any problems what so ever.
antitree hugger has a 3 inch and he loves it. it allows him to run 33's with no problemo.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that in a severe collision, the liklihood that the body seperates from the frame is greater due to the longer bolts and such (more leverage), but the reality probably is that if you hit anything that hard that will be the least of your worries. :eek7:

what about roll over?

Yes, it increases your chances of rolling over, and considering that SUVs are already higher off of the ground, you should really think about what you want to get out of your truck. If you just want to dump money into it for the sake of dumping money into it, then maybe you might want to look into something else for it, but if you want it more so for the off-road abilities that it will enhance, then its the way to go.

I doubt there would be much significant change in rollover risk with the small body lifts available for the Xterra. You are simply lifting the lightest parts of the truck and leaving all the running gear, etc where it was so the center of gravity is only mildly affected. For comparison, putting a 75 lb spare tire on the roof probably has more impact than lifting the body by 2 inches.

Chuck is right. You will get more chance of roll-over from a suspension lift than a body lift. It is simply a matter of physics. But if you are a wise driver, you will alter your driving style according to how your truck handles. It really is a matter of choice. There are as many opinions out there as there are drivers. You need to decide what is best for you and your level of driving and then go from there.
