That turbo has such of a small inlet, I would use maybe 2 1/2 rubber piping with a 1 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inch adapter.

Do it all in 3" Use 2 45 degree "Street elbows" and play with the angle of them to get it to fit around obstacles. A 4-3" rubber coupler (also in the plumbing isle, specifically for the OD of these ABS parts) will work perfectly ot the MAS, and a 3-4" reducer coupler fits the T25/14b/16g perfectly. 20 bucks. I picked up 60Hz on my 14b with this setup. OThers have seen the same gains. Enjoy :)

i am familiar with plumbing supplies, but i am curious, how do you assemble this intake?? take the two street 90's and put one smooth end at MAF and one at the turbo??? if someone could post a pic that would help a bunch thanks.

on second thought, one smooth to the mass air flow and one female to the turbo, put the 4" end of the fernco on the female and the 3" on the turbo???? maybe, i dont know lol, a pic would help. thanks

I had a pic on NEDSM, but you would need to be a member of the site to see it. This is very simple anyway. Put the two elbows together the way anyone would. A "street" eblow will have one male and one female end, as you know. Just dont cement them together yet. You can twist that joint to change the routing of the intake to clear obstacles. If you have a turbo that uses a jpipe (14b/16g) it gets tight in that area, even more so with a 1g motor in it. So if I could make it fit then anyone can :) So put the two elbow contraption in there and see how to make it fit. I ended up shortening the assembly a couple inches as well. Then use the 3-2" fernco to the turbo, and the 3-4" to the MAS. The MAS is really about 3.5". A 3" can be stretched over with some elbow grease, but I use a 4" since its easier and has no trouble squishing down to the size of the MAS. Thats it. For dumping the BOV back in, use and appropriately sized NPT close nipple. For the other lines you may wish to route back in, use NPT hose barbs. SInce the pipe is plastic I just drilled an approptiately sized hole, then used the fitting to cut its own threads. I hope this adds some more clarification. It seems akward at first, but once you get in there and start to lay the stuff out, it will become apparent what you need to do. HAve fun

Yep, make sure they are sealed well, you dont want any air leaks.

It depends on wether or not you want to keep using them. One is from the valve cover. Thats the one that coats the inside of everything in your intake system with oil. The big one is from the charcoal canister, and the small one is from the stock boost control solenoid. I dont use any od those, but its all up to you. You can use simple NPT hose barbs, just dril hte hole to the right size, and use the fitting to make the threads. And like talon said, be sure to seal them well.

thanks for the info, since i havn't upgraded to an MBC yet i assume that i still need the stock boost control solenoid to be hooked up correct. and since i have to hook one vac line up i might as well hook them all up correct? cause it shouldn't effect performance right? thanks for the help. :bigthumb:
