Greetings, AF'ers :D
Well I had an awesome weekend. Alex and I both played hookie from work on Friday and went downtown and got our marriage license. Now that I see it on paper, it's really hitting me that this is really happening  We also did some running around and bought a few new plants for the fishtank, which is being redone after our tragedy a few months ago, the one where nearly all the fish died. We are not buying any more fish til after the honeymoon. Saturday was my birthday...we hung out with Alex's gramma most of the day, and I brought my dogs over so she had some furry friends to entertain her. It was also the 1 year anniversary of his grampa's passing, so that helped take things off her mind a bit. Last year as a kid before I hit the big 3-0 next year. Later in the evening we went out for dinner and billiards with friends and Sunday laid around and relaxed. Best weekend in a long time. Wish there could be more like this, but alas we have a long list of things to do. Thought I would share. Did everyone else have a good weekend?

Coolness! :sunglasse Don't worry, I'm 34 and I'm more of a kid now than I ever was! :iceslolan My weekend was bittersweet; Saturday I had to work 2nd shift. Sunday we went to church and I fired the grill up upon our return home :licka: then I worked on some models for the rest of the day. :icon16: Oh, I added a page to my website as well and gave my wife a pedicure before passing out on the floor with the dog laying on my back :)Marriage is pretty cool sometimes :sunglasse

Glad to hear your weekend was great...mine was horrible.
Worked the whole thing straight through...no fun for me!
But my consolation for this was the return of :licka: Mr. Licka!

Thanks for the notes. For those of you who didn't have as good a weekend here's a hug http://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/grouphug.gif
The fishtank is bouncing back in leaps and bounds. Alex is doing a whole new "aquascape". It's alot of work but its a nice relaxing hobby for him :)
I just remembered that we get another 3 day weekend this next weekend...Labor Day. We hope to be getting a new BBQ this weekend so maybe we'll have some good eats for Monday :)

It sounds like you had a good weekend.
Mine was rather boring. I'm on summer vacation, and still unemployed, so there isn't much difference between the weekends and the weekdays. Oh well.

My weekend was...interesting...
Went to a friends and chilled out there on Friday night, Saturday worked then had drinks at my place, got horribly smashed and ended up throwing up on the train into town, and all over the station, so came right back home. Props to my friends for taking care of me :( Sunday hung around doing nothing (NO HANGOVER :D)

October 4 is the big day :D So what, about 6 weeks to go  Hopefully by end of this week we'll get the rest of the major planning done...still need to figure out music, seating, getting reservations for the dogs to be boarded, and get the honeymoon plans lines up. So far we got plane tix, the rest still needs to be planned :o
At least the house is in order now so that pain in the arse is outta the way.
Oz, you crack me up! I do need new pants come to think of it, more like a new wardrobe :lol2:
