I have a little trouble accelerating. I usually go up 5500 rpms in first thenm when i shift into second it drops me pretty low and i dont accelarate as fast as i would like to. where should i shift to keep me in the best rpm range to get the best accelartion?

its very hard to say because its all based on weight, horse power tourque ect
i would say that your shifting a little late but it sounds like your shifting too early
oh wait u said a 3.8L correct?
if its a 3.8 they can rev higher try shifting a little higher every time until you get it just right
