Anybody see the Hungary incident?
Juan Pablo Montoya yesterday joined a growing list of Michael Schumacher's rivals who questioned his recent F1 racing tactics.
The Colombian said Schumacher, who drives a scarlet Ferrari, was 'pretty aggressive' in the lead down to Budapest's second corner on Sunday.
'You've got to push,' said the BMW-Williams ace, 'but on the first lap I was on the outside of him and he just threw his car at me completely.'
Montoya said he was a 'bit shocked' by the German's tactics, which were questioned also after the Silverstone race by Renault officials.
'But if that's the way we goes racing, I guess that's the way he goes racing,' 27-year-old Montoya - who's had his fare share of scraps with Schu - added.
Juan Pablo told Schumacher that 'driving like that' is not really going to help his dwindling cause in the 2003 world championship.
'He needed to score points today and he took just one,' said Montoya, who moved within a single point of the German in the drivers' chase

there was a lot of pushing and fighting going on in the first couple of corners. MS is used to start from the first row, and when he has to start further down the pack, he seems to be very uncomfortable with that. Montoya's statements are part of the psycho warfare :naughty: that builds up near the end of the season, escpicially when it's so close. However, he's probably not going to say something without a reason, so Schum must have been - once again - really aggresssive, close to unsportiviness.

Come on, that’s blind faith right there. Let’s at least have a look at the incident before taking someone’s word for it 100%. Especially someone, who as you said, is playing games.

Funny, the original quote says it is his "recent F1 racing tactics" being called into question. I thought he'd been driving like that his whole career!
I wonder, should Schumacher be a couple of points in front come Suzuka, will he go the punt again? And will he get it right this time? Of course should he take out either JPM or Kimi then the other will have a clear run to the finish :iceslolan

Agreed, he has been driving like that his whole career, but JPM only knows of his 'recent' career.
As for the Suzuka issue, he will probably call on his influence at Ferrari and have Barrichello ordered to take out one while he deals with the other :lol2:
Wonder if it will end up like the 'Villeneuve incident' though, would be funny if it did.

JPM can complain all he wants but as far as his suggestion goes I don’t think anyone on here has seen the alledged incident? Correct me if im wrong. Besides I don’t think JPM is one to complain.. he’s exhibited some pretty questionable driving tactics when being overtaken… he should be able to take it, that’s if “it” isnt just a figment of his imagination.. I still haven’t seen what Montoya was whinging about and im not about to take his word for it before I do.

And que the crazy one :grinyes:
Didn't see the aleged incident either so not passing comment on it. If it did happen though the guy who came off worst was Schumacher Junior, so Monty should be pleased about that. Anyway some joy for you Ferrari fans, Williams were even slower of the line than the chosen one traditionaly is!
Wonder why, as the compeditiveness of Ferrari/Bridgestone drop, Barichello appears to be getting the upper hand over Schumacher? Can it be he has lower standards and is not becoming as disillusioned? Will Michael be back on top in Monza?
Yeah yeah I know - OT.

I believe Juan given Schumi's past, but hey he can't help it, he's still racing a 1992 spec chassis, it's WIDER than Juan's! :disappoin :cwm27:

For fucks sake, can we just put them on the track in two 84 323s or something and just let them take it out on each other?
Good thing Im not racing F1, otherwise these two would have broken cars by now.
But Id also be banned for life! :naughty:

Can't be a brigade, there's just one of me! :p
Besides, putting preferences for drivers aside, it's reasonable that we should see the incident (if it exists) before passing judgement.
