Hey guys, I got a problem with my engine, the vtec is not engaging (I always notice by the way it sounds), I checked at the oil level and it's ok
my engine is a B16A and it was fine until today, could that be possible that the vtec solenoid is damaged or something? what do you guys think that could be?

try cleaning out the solenoid. if that doesn't work try switching the solenoid out with a good one and see if that works. is you check engine light on? if so pull the codes and see what it says.

You need a reader for OBD II. If your car is a 99-00 Si, it is OBD IIb. You can buy the scanner on line, or goto Honda.

Have you tried to reset the computer???
Ive had my check engine light go on a few times due to me messing with the plugs....all I do is unplug the battery for a few mins and resets the ECU......If you do this and continues then go ahead an purchase the needed equipment but my suggestion to you is try reseting it first.
