Anybody else have a G-Tech?

If so, have you run at the track, and how did the two runs (G-Tech, track) compare?
Better yet, anybody run their G-Tech while running at a timed track?
I'm just trying to see how close my G-Tech time is to what I should expect at the track.
I posted pictures in another thread of my G-Tech's readouts after my quick run with it. I got a 15.00@99mph, with a badly-spinning launch.
Does this mean that with a better launch, I have a high-14 car? Even if you take the statement below and take off about 2-3mph, a trap of 97 is still mid-14 territory.
I know the quickest way to solve this is to simply go out to the track and run it, but it seems that my only free-times lately do not coincide too well with when the track is open. Events are usually on the weekends, but I really don't want to do my first run with my car during a crowded event.
From the G-Tech site:
Why is my G-TECH/Pro consistently 2-3 mph above the track?
"G-TECH/Pro is a very accurate machine, and the trap speed result that you get from the G-TECH/Pro is actually more accurate than the racetrack. Reason is that the racetrack averages your speed over a 60 feet stretch between two beams and G-TECH/Pro measures your speed at the exact 1/4 mile point."

No install involved. You just plug it in the lighter jack.

You can check that site above for their pricing and tech. I bought mine used, and a lot cheaper than most.

anyone know how accurate they are.... i will never go to the track if they are dead on, cause i don't know how to get to the track anyway...
they have 2 models i think.. one is like $150, one's like $250.... plug em into cigarette lighter... mounts to windshield like a radar detector... wish i knew someone that had one...
edit: i just went to see my continuation thread of "one hand or two??" , and i don't appreciate it being closed.. that's fucked up... it's more on topic then alot of other shit that get's posted... :headshake

It depends on the gtech. The new pro competition is almost dead on. Of course the mph is off. If you are caught by the police using one it is considered racing. For that reason I don't use mine at all.
