ok here is the problem, i had some problems with a vibrating brake petal at high speeds and i don't think it's my rotors since they have a lifetime warranty but i had brakefluid that looked like coffee. to eliminate variables i bled my brakes however when i was on the last wheel i actidently started pulling air, i sucked out all the fluid from the resevoir and my MC. so i then refilled my resevoir and used my vacume pump to suck out the air from my final wheel until i got crystal clear fluid. i was in a hurry so i didn't follow through w/ re-bleeding my other wheels. when i started up barely ontime for work my brakes weren't working very well infact i had to use my hand brake and maddly pump my petal to stop, i followed through and bled the remaining 3 whells the next day. it helped... but not much.
my dad puts one foot on my brake petal and claims my MC has gone bad, but in my openion i think what's he's accusing my car of is magic seeing as i had a remarkably stiff petal pre-bleeding. well any advice. it's needed bad this is my only car. daily driver and all.

Find out the proper bleed sequence and re-bleed the brakes. Be sure not to let it run out of fluid as your doing it.

:iagree: Right rear - Left rear - Right front - Left front. Make sure to pump the brakes after bleeding until pedal is hard, then start car & test-drive. Your rotors or drums probably need to be re-surfaced.

The proper way is to start with the furthest brake from the master & work you way around to the closest.

4thgenhatch is the right way to do it. I have the shop manual and the car has a x-brake system... so you are supposed to do it in that fashion. after bleeding each wheel, FILL UP THE BRAKE FLUID!!! its not an endless supply. you have to put in the same amount that comes out....
I find more and more...common sence isn't that common. (no offense)

power brake booster maybe? I just had to replace mine because my brakes worked like ass. They would lock up sometimes, and then other times the pedal would go real far down before they started slowing me down, what a freaky ride. Anyways, its located behing the MC towards the firewall. Just thought id mention that since no one has said it.

Well Hondas have 2 brake circuits incase one fails you at least have 50% brakes. I don't think it matters which order your bleed them in as long as you bleed the individual circuits together (meaning passenger circuit1: rear/driver front or circuit2: driver rear/passenger front, doesn't matter which circuit you do first, just do the 2 sets of wheels together, if you catch my drift.
And if you have to replace your MC or Booster upgrade to 90-93 Integra ones...

ok i brought it to a mechanic and he tells me i somehow poped a seal <arf arf> and that i need to replace my MC. i've had a chance to more accurately judge the situation. my brake petal sinks to the floor in heat and when the outside temp cools down, it works fine infact better than before i bled my brakes but my mom bought me a new MC cause she needs me to drive her on a road trip. results will follow later this evening.

that'd be a good idea if i was keeping this car but... it's got a rusted body and other things, i'm using it to save up for a 91 si civic hatch.
