Ummm, NO. It will fuck up your tranny and T/C

You could get a welded center diff, welded VC, or a spool, and find some way to plug the holes in the tranny for the front axles. But even then, the rear drivesahfts and driveshaft will have to take 100% of the torque output. Ask the guys running solid center diffs in AWD mode (4WD really...) how many tcases and rear axles they've broken. ;) If you want to go RWD, do it like everyone else does. 2 speed powerglide, ford rear end, strange axles/suspension/brakes, etc. OR get real fancy and use a liberty or some other drag tranny... Big bucks either way. AWD is badass, enjoy it the way it is.

i think it would be a wast of time to conver it to rwd even tho they have a nice racing eclpise that has been converted to rwd ad does low 8's i believe..

You could get that JDM switchable tranny, but doesnt that convert it to FWD? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Those are rare and expensive though. I cringed when rizz broke his at the SO this year when we were racing.... To use the switchable transfer ase you also need the switchable tranny too, or a welded/solid center.
