I have a 96 honda accord EX. My friend crashed his 96 prelude and is willing to sell me his h22. What mods would i have to do to make this work? Also his car was manual and mine is automatic will my tranny work or no?

well since you'll be gettin all the stuff off his car then it should be pretty easy. You'll need the prelude's driver side engine mount and power steering line. Then you will have to maybe run a few wires to the computer and that should be it. I'm probably forgetting some small tid bits but i think that covers what will get you on the road. oh and you can use the automatic tranny from your car and mount it up to the H22, but your tranny control module will not shift good for the H22 so you would need to find an H22 tranny control module if your gonna keep the car as an automatic

the tranny module is around $700 from honda and that is for a 97 prelude automatic cause that was the 1st year the h22 had the automatic in the U.S. You will probably have to go hunt around at performance places or honda/acura specialist places for a JDM tranny module. The is a place near me that can get me one for $310. But the car can be driven with the accord control module so dont let that hold you back from the swap
