How serious are you about rallying??? if you just want the look well dont do anything safty specific, and just rice it out and be a possure like everyone seems to be, if you realize "The fast and the Furious" was just a movie and the cars used in that movie were all just for show and in reality are quite slow then i suggest some of the following things:

1) get to know someone who knows how to weld (or learn your self but this gets EXPENSIVE:( ) strip the car tottally apart and weld the frame, so there is more stiffness in the frame and body this will help keep it from twisting.

2) 5-point rollcage.

3) 4 -> 5 lug conversion

4) drum -> disk conversion (in the rear)

5) 16" wheels (eknie maybe they are really light)

6) gas struts, if you are willing get some high dollar struts, i can't think of a name off the top of my head, im still searching for a good mfr.

7) FREE FLOW FREE FLOW FREE FLOW
a) INTAKE. either buy, or make, your own air intake, start by taking the intake muffler off, and cutting a hole in the bottom of the air box, then get some aluminium tubing and replace that rubber crap, DO NOT, bypass the MAF(Mass Air Flow sensor) as this will cause MANY MANY MANY problems, if you can figure out a way to use bigger then the 2" (ithink) tubing PLEASE let me know, either way you go you will get about the same results. you could even get a 360 degree air filter and figure some way to put that on the MAF, whivh would give you even more flow. also this is my next step, i would custom plumb a ram air / cold air tubing that would put colder air into the air filter, im still thinkin on that one... disconnect the return line, you may not notice a differenc in hp but you wont be putting crap back thru your engine.
b) EXHAUST.
i) new headders
ii) port & pollish headders
iii) gut your cat (not that furry animal, that wont do your car any good...)
iv) 2.5 - 3" exhaust piping and a striat thru muf.
v) wrap your exhaust in heat insulating tape, this will keep your exhaust gasses hotter, thus they are less dense, so they flow, better.

8) higher compression ratios (obviously for a NA car)

9) MSD ignition kit (blaster2 ignition coil and ignition amplifier) or bosch +4's, the ignition kit is more $$$ but you will get better results.

10) convert to AWD, i dont know if this is even possible, FWD rally cars are fine, but AWD has better control.

11) heavy duty bucket seats with more lateral support, ie Sparco, w/ 5 pt. harnesses

i think that is quit enough to get you started for now. turbo/super charging is also a good idea but thats a whole nother ball game so every thing here is mostly for NA cars (see #8... i repeat myself... oh well) im sorry if i offended you, with the F&F comment, one of my friends asked me a similar ? and he just wanted to look cool, which i think is uncool. if you have any other questions please feel free to ask them her or e-mail me

Peace and good luck.
