i mentioned in a different thread about how my window isnt working very good... anyways, its stiff as hell, and theres a gap at the top when its wound up..
so today i followed Lisa's instructions to fix it.. so i removed the door panel and fiddled around with the adjustment bolts... it was fitting up pretty good.. but then after a few uses, it was back to the way it was. its really stiff, and noisy too.... so does anyone have any suggestions? is it possible to get a new window crank set up in there?

it happened to me, i had to buy a whole new crank assembly thing, the part that looks like a huge X, that fixed my problem.

Your window regulator is going bad - replace it before the windows it stops working completely. Bad regualtors is a very common problem with honda's. This why you should keep you window run channels lubed with silicone. If the run channels are shitty replace that with the regulator

Regulators & run channels aren't really that hard to change. If its your first attempt it will take slightly longer. I forget but I think the book time on reg/run is 2.0hrs - 1.5hrs for reg & .5hrs for run. A repair manual will be of great assistance during the process. If you dont have one I can post the process.

Yea, take care of the important stuff 1st. A driveable car with a broken window is much better than a blowed up engine with a nice working window

Hi Jackassi- Can you please send me the instructions for changing a window regulator. I have a 93 Geo Prizm LSI and I have to change the front passenger window regulator and the 2 back window regulators. They are on order and I should have them by Monday. My dad is going to change these for me ...or at least attempt to, I don't think he's ever done this job. Your instructions would be so helpful. I know that you offered them to another person on this message board. I was charged around $240 for the parts and the labor it took to tell me that the regulators were bad. Does this sound right to you? about how long will installation take? Please advise. Thanks!

Hmmm Geo, I don't know off the top of my head. If I remember I might just look it up at work.
