Well its taken close to a month but its finished.
This one was a real test of my skills (mostly due to me being over ambitious).
The SAS kit went on well, after I had removed the old trim and most of my thumb :crying:.
Then I picked the car up to admire the paint job only to find it wasn't fully dry :banghead: .. Sand, respray!!
Then the 18" yokohama's wheels wouldn't fit (FAQ female to male thread helped me there :worshippy ).
Plus I didn't like the stock breaks and had an old set of GT car ones hanging around... After 48hrs of swearing I got them to fit!
In the end its turned out to be one of my fav cars. Hence load of pics.
Specs:
Full S.A.S body kit with GT - Wing
The paint is an auto VW pearlesent red (shows up well in the right light).
18" yokohama's
Break mod from a Nismo R33 GT
Scratch built exhaust/muffler. (My first one)..
Still thinking of lowering it (somehow) when I get the time...

Awesome paint job.
If you can lower it and tuck the wheels in abit more, will make it look so much better for a tough look

Superb job!!! Nice paint job and seemless fitment of the kit. How did you do the sunroof? IMO needs a bit of lowering.

Very Nice :smokin:
The colour, The wing, The wheels, The shine, Totally awesome.
I think the ride height is fine, I'm not a fan of evey car being slammed to the floor.
Was the paint Halfords with a few coats of clear?
Whats next, as I enjoy viewing your models :bigthumb:

Awesome paint! I love the colour! I think you should thin the front wheels a little bit so they fit under the guards well, I don't think you need to lower it much but it would look alot better if the front wheels were under the guards.

Stunning work, i love it!
I agree that the rims could have been tucked in a little but don't risk changing it now. The colour looks like th VW Canyon Red I used on my Z.

Thanks for the comments guys,
Yep, the paint was a Halfords VW Canyon Red with a coat of clear on top.
I was very pleased with the finish, one of the better paints I've had from Halfords. In normal light it looks red, but shine a direct light on it and the metallic finish comes to life. Goes really well with the car scale.
Used a friends airbrush (he's not getting it back now :iceslolan )to smoke the sunroof with thinned down Tamiya smoke.
I had some real problems getting the front wheels to go that far under the arches. With the break disc mod and the male to female switch in the wheels it didn't leave me much room. Even after I'd taken off a lot of plastic! :banghead: I may well go back to it when I'm feeling brave.
I'm going to give the mod cars a rest for a while and have a go at this baby next...

Nice work! Having just finished that model myself, it's nice to see another one so soon afterwards and one that looks quite different than mine. I almost used a spoiler like yours, but went w/the stock one. I love the rims you chose, but I felt that my Celica looked better w/17's vs. 18's, which all seemed just a bit too large on the Celica. Having done a ton of wheel conversions, I know how hard it is to get just the right stance when you make such a huge change in wheel size. It's never easy fitting Fujimi/Aoshima rims on a Tamiya model.
The color is great, and you've done a killer job getting the body panels to fit and look like they were molded on by Tamiya in the first place. :smokin:

i love everything you did to the kit :) but i agree with the guys that the front wheels should be moved inside the guards... it will look much better and right :)
