Last oil change I had I took it to a shop.
Now those stupid fucks put the oil filter on SOOOOO tight it's not even funny. I've already broke my oil filter wrench on this thing.
My car is sitting in my garage with no oil, so i can't drive it anywhere.
Does anyone know how I can loosen this fuckin thing???
Sorry for the language, I'm pretty pissed off right now.
PLEASE HELP
Thanks in advance.

you might have to resort to the ol, "plunge a screwdriver through the filter method and turn"

I tried that too, all that did was make a huge hole, still diddent even budge. I wanna kill the person that last changed my oil. I bet they diddent even lube the seal ring around the filter.

do you have the filter wrench that goes on top of the filter, or the strap kind?

Metal strap kind. I got it to catch and latch shut. But I turn that badboy and I end up bending the handle thing. errrrrrrr:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Get as wide a screwdriver as you can or a metal bar. brace it against the edege of the hole tht you've made, pointing it in the direction you want to go and then hit the bar with a hammer to break the filter loose. It's a tight squeeze but can be done.
Other alternative is to put the screwdriver on the lip of the filter, just next to the block. Carfully make a groove in the lip by striking the screwdriver. Then angle the driver and do the same as above. The lip is stronger material than the case of the filter - it shouldn't tear as badly.
It's a finnicky thing to do though - lots of patience is needed. You might like to jack the car up and come at it from underneeth (don't forget wheelstands and chock the rear wheels.
Good Luck

And then I look at all the crap around the filter in your pic - I don't have half that hardware around the B16A's oil filter. :(

my 2 cents.....i've seen PB blast work wonders on getting stuck stuff loose.
i've been around shops for 6 years..... no one takes the extra few seconds to lube the filter. they all say....why bother?
i've learned, if you want it done right, do it your self.

Well I just learnt something - that's nuts, I never would have thought of that dmcgirl :)
Then again - I use the top mount filter removers and don't have problems... but nice tip :)

i highly suggest the top mount filter thingy, it works 100x better than the strap kind and i have never had any problems removing old filters, with or without lubing the ring first.

There's absolutly no way this thing coulda got that tight.
Your supposed to turn the filter 3/4 turn once the ring has contact with the block./
It was like this thing was turned like 1 to 1-1/2 turns.
