5.0LX with a 5spd, against an LT1 with a 6spd, would be a driver race. Both auto's, again, a driver race. If one was manual, and the other auto, the manual would rape the auto. If the cars are modded, then it all depends on what mods were done. Again, this depends on driver, and well ... driver :)

Good question! Drivers are going to be the biggest determining factor in this; mods are the given factor.
Integra, yes.
Civic, yes.
LT1...see above for the factors.

Wake up and smell that sweet stench of reality...
Stock for Stock the LT1 will give the 5.0 a good workout. Generally speaking Manuals are usually faster, but Autos arent much slower... in some cases they're faster.
'94 Z28 (auto)
0-60: 5.7
1/4: 14.2
'93 LX (manual)/ '93 Cobra
0-60: 6.2 / 5.9
1/4: 14.8 / 14.5

Yeah, the LT1s are a little faster than the 5.0s.
OTOH, a really good swap is the 351W/A4LD into the LX, which will result in a car that can give Corvettes a good run for their money, with a stock engine.

I didn't say it wasn't possible. Just that it's going to be a tough race.

here's my take on it...
=ITR... driver's race.... and also the condition and tune of a stock 5.0 LX 5spd.
=Civics... oh gosh.. are you talking stock? Dude.. that was sorta dumb question
=94 LT1 z28... both manuals, and both similarly skill drivers... the Stang would get smoked. Even if the z28 had an average skilled driver, he/she would still beat the excellent driver in the stang.
