alright i've been looking at aluminum underdrive pullys lately and was wondering if it will actually give me better performance or if the only real way to get better performance with it is by disconnecting the ac and all that?

I don't know a whole whole lot about it but from what I do, it's my understanding that your crankshaft is used to a certain amount of torque resistance, so when you take off your accesories such as ac and fan you reduce the amount of resistance on the crank and it has the tendency to overturn and burn up your altinator. You want to get rid of the ac and fan and such to take weight off the crank allowing you to utilize more horse power. So the solution is getting an underdrive pulley to compensate for the lack of tun resistance and focus that power to your wheels. So unless you take all of that crap off, there really isn't any need to get an underdrive pulley, infact it might hurt more than help. That's all I know about it and that may not all be accurate, but I think it is. Hope it helps.

i like the pulleys.. i had them in my 00 civic si , and although they didn't make a huge difference they did give me a little more throttle response..
