Wow! Firman took a major impact due to his rear wing flying off! He isn't able to qualify today.

Ralf gave himself the ten position penalty! How ironic! :screwy:

Love these Michelin races. Alonso owes Webber a drink or two I think.

Very tight at the top of the championship now!

Yep, they should change the name to Michelin Formula One.

Beats the Formula Ferraristone of last year.
The way Bridgestone has tampered with F1 in the past it is good to see them fall. I fear they will be back soon though, if things go down to the last GP of the year it is in their back yard...

True, what goes around, comes around. That's why I don't like two tire makes and special team testing where tires are concerned, the race should be between cars, not tires.

So we're just going to blame the tyres then? :dunno:

I find the result almost amusing....makes for good reading at least.

Renault backed up their words at the beginning of the week. I thought i was a pretty decent race as far as stories to follow.

Formula1.com attributes Alonso with the youngest ever winner now. Which is wrong. McLaren is still the youngest winner. You would think the offical web site would get it right.

I liked that site better before F1 brought it.

No, we're going to ignore all the facts and blame useless Schumacher :dunno:

Are you sure about that? From F1-live: "Now the Spanish sensation is the youngest winner at 22 and 26 days, edging out New Zealander Bruce McLaren, who was 22, three months and 12 days in winning in the United States in 1959".

What I'll remember from this one:

- Alonso being lucky that Webber was dog slow in the early stages. :naughty:
- McLaren did a solid race with what most are calling "old machinery", Kimi was once again the second best man (5x this year) and a different strategy then most saw DC take a well earned 5th. :grinyes:
- Ralf gave himself the 10-position-back-on-the-grid after turn 2. :shakehead
- Both Williamses were dog-slow when the lights went out. :headshake
- The so called bullet proof Ferrari developped and embarassing susp. problem. :banghead:
- Michelin has found a far better compound formula then the Bridgy boys. Who are going to test more, but they did that already in the past didn't they :naughty:
- Time for BAR to move on... :crying:

This has brought back the problem of removing the warm up on the sunday morning. Most of drivers have complained that without it they weren't be able to clean out the dirt of the inside lane.

did anyone notice that the other benetton on the inside lane still launched well?

I thought Shumacher was crap. If it really is all due to the tires then Bridgestone has some homework to do.
