Sleepers

Whats a sleeper a car that dosent look fast but is right?:useless:

My car for example. It is a bone stock looking 240 hatch including stock hight, but it has a rb26dett under the hood. From the outside nobody would have a clue.

a sleeper is a car with a stock, boring looking exterior, but is a friggin uncaged tazmanian devil performance-wise. think along the lines of a Geo Metro with a 13B in it. you'd never expect a Geo Metro to beat you in a race, so one like that would catch you off guard. that's just a totally unrealistic example. basically, sleepers are the cars of people like me who believe that form follow function.

you had the definition right, so why make a thread for it? :shakehead

my car will be pretty much a sleeper, rb25det with about 350-400 rwhp, only thing exterior will be some racing hart (probably) wheels and its lowered a tad... still no one will expect it to be a monster ;)

i just came across a colt that was riding my ass.... his buddy was in the car with him. i thought i'd give it a go by revving my engine...


bad bad idea, the guy completely flew past me. the race was over in about 2 seconds. that is a sleeper.


asked him at the next light... it runs mid 12's.

Aren't those old school enkie wheels on your 240??? I think i had a set just like them on an RX-7 a couple years ago...

I am looking for another set, if you know of any... mine where the white/polished lip version....

What are they call? I do not recall a name/model number to them...

By the way, very well done, clean swap...

My dads a car ( my future car) is, i think a sleeper, its ugly as **** but its pretty fast car here...compared to most of the cars here. it has a sr20det with blitz BOV Apex-i intake....i still think its peice of shit though

Im not sure what the wheels are cuz they dont say but I might get rid of mine if the price is right and the tires have tons of tread left. The swap could have been cleaner but I threw it together as quick as possible and was still out of a car for almost a week.

young drifter, youre a spoiled little brat if you think that car is a peice of shit, and this is not the place to be saying a 240sx with an sr20 is a peice of shit... really lol

hahaha, what i mean by it "i still think its peice of shit though" is that the exterior is ugly....its all faded and cracking and dents and theres a leak where the roof and the window meet....but i LOVE the engine!!!

I have a twin stick turbo colt that goes mid 13`s but other than the exhaust looks very stock.......
