well that was a long day.. finally got the civic home.

we were supposed to meet 4pm at McDonalds. he knew exactly where the place was, we met there the first time i saw his car. But somehow he go lost, and 3 HOURS later we find him. :screwy: i bought the car about 2 weeks ago, but with the power failure and such we got delayed.

i only managed to get one shitty pic..... just a tease hahaha.

oh and before i forget.. i noticed a high pitched noise while im driving it.. most noticable through towns with radio off. that normal?

and the drivers window rolls up stiff as hell, and doesnt make a complete seal, so at higher speeds i can hear the wind coming through it.. any way to fix that?

but i love it, and its much quicker than the Dx.

to fix the window, u should just try to do it yourself, take your door panel off, take that plastic covering shit off, first check all the bolts i think there 10s but they could be 12s that hold the window unit, there just copper colored 10s in holes 4 are shaped in a sideways square type thing and then there are two others to the side of the square, so check those that they are there and tight because if there loose just that fucks up your window rolling up, then if that is not seem to be the prob. then roll your window down til you see the two bolts that hold the window to the slider, you will see them thru the holes in the door, then tighten those or loosen them and readjust the glass, its not that hard but sometimes the screws that hold glass to slider slip off when your putting the second in so check that after you do them because you dont want them slippin hope that made sense :icon16:

Damn, I have a DX :frown: . But the only thing I don't like about the DX is the motor and the fact that it has no tach, which are both about to change.

i won't hate. paid $3000 for mine with 112,000. it was lowered but no rims. just picked up jer's '91 si for $1400 not running....dropped engine for $500 so it was around $1900. needs paint and a hood.

if you're happy as hell, body in good shape, interior in good shape then $4000 isn't too much :)

its realllly clean too... interior is mint. few little dents on the body, but its amazing condition for a 4thgen.

the only thing it needs is the waterpump/timing belt service.

it also needs you to take the orange out the bumper lenses ... and no offense but those rims are kinda gay imo ... throw the gsrs from the dx on :sunglasse

what does the seal look like? On my driver side window i need to push the top of the window out a bit to get it to go on the outside of the seal thing, otherwise it doesnt roll up all the way.

i cant believe that you guys paid so much for a old civic. I got mine for free cause the guy didnt want it and thought he couldnt sell it. Maybe i should sell mine and get some MAD profit.

It depends on the condtion. When I bought mine it had a mint body with original paint, that was the most important thing to me, I payed $6,000cdn. + all the taxes at the dealership. I had the motor swapped out like 3 weeks after the 30day warantee was up. :p

dude hope you don't have to replace the window crank to get your window working properly i've done it and it sucks big time on models w/ the seatbelt on the door, i think honda got pissed off at the western world for making them redesign their cars and made it a pain in the ass to change that window crank.

mine doesnt have the seatbelt on the door though..

but its really pissing me off now, spent a few hours trying to relalign the fucker.. and im right back to where i started. its stiff as hell. makes a lot of noise too, and theres a .5cm gap by the sideview mirror..

i have no idea how to fix it now.

last resort i am gluing a strip of rubber to fill the gap.

hey man i wrote a how to about how to change a door crank, jsut go to a junk yard and find a crank that works good and doesn't have a door mounted seatbelt (there is this one piece that won't fit and it'a a pain to put change it on the crank.) http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=113277&page=2&pp=20

oh and one addition there is an easyier way to reach the back bolt that unbolts window where the seatbelt mechanism is on the 90-91 there is a hole for you to put a ratchet, it's 10 times easier on your car.
