ALso, how to I get the Shifter bezel and shift boot off

i got a nice knob and shift boot, i want to put them on, i can't get the old shift boot and bezel off. I have a 2002, someone help me.

If it's anything like the 6 gen's, you'll have to take out the center console to disconnect the stock boot from underneath. And the knob is pretty self explanatory.
