What are your opinions on boy-racers? What do you consider a boy-racer?
I am not a boy-racer myself. I like performance cars, i like fast cars. But some how most people here in Auckland that like fast & performance cars (any car that is slightly modded) are automatically considered boy-racers. In my opinion is discrimination and sucks.

Yep, I agree. The general public consider anyone that drives anything other than a standard family sedan a "boy racer" or in my case a "girl racer" (although that may have something to do with the "Girlie Girl Racing" stickers on my windows!! :p )
To me the term "boy racer" is meaningless. I could stereotype them by saying that they drive certain cars such as Pulsar GTiRs, Starlets and 323 turbos, but this isn't actually correct. Sure, a lot of them do drive these cars, but people also drive them that aren't.

:( I wish I could say the same but I had to drive around in one for a couple weeks. It was a rental though, does that count? :D

Lets see. If you are tearing up and down the streets like it is a race track, creating havoic, and in general being an asshole behind the wheel then I guess you would fall into that catigory.
The generalization of boy-racers being that of which anyone who owns, drives, or is a performance car enthusisasts is just plain ignorant! It is nothing but propaganda spead by the media and polititions in order to gain favorable reviews from stuffy old farts who would rather see cars used for just mere transportation. Get a live and get over it!

What is wrong with Stickers mate ?
I have SDU ( Skylines Downunder ) stickers on my rear side windows. It is for support of my chosen car club and not to proclaim anything else.

That is the problem with some clubs. They start out great but then lose the plot and it all turns to shit. You were witness to our AGM yesterday and we will always work things out. SDU will be stronger over time, and right now it has the largest paid memebership of any car club in New Zealand with over 300 financial members, but who knows what next year holds on how many will rejoin.
