Whats ya Job

Just courious is all since quite a few on here are just begining their careers.

I started out by sweeping floors in a machine shop.

I am now a robotic systems specialist (not much call for that in New Zealand), Productio specialist in metal works manufacturing. Currently I am a Tool Maker ( aluminum extrusion tooling) / CNC mill, lathe, and EDM wirecut programmer

Annual salery last year just over $50k

Right now I work for McAfee helping people remove viruses from their computers.

Trade Show Producer...and I don't openly discuss my salary.:D

Well, before i went to college i worked part time at an animal clinic as a vet ass. and thats the same job i'll work at when i go home for vacations and such...:)

Its not the best web site. It needs to be updated. But we develop software for housing and redevelopment authorities all over the country.

My current part-time job is a computer helpdesk attendant. The job blows.

Water Treatment Plant Operator 4th class[Again, local mill]

Right now I am a law office admin. asst. Been doing that for 9 years. I also like to do freelance design stuff off to the side. Not many paying projects yet, but I have done little things here n there for friends and what not. Anything to do gives me the practice :)

I do tech support for AOL. Yeah, I am one of the better techs there, honest. :) The pay is pretty damn good, allthough I am not going to throw out numbers. Benefits rock, and the stock option is great also. Now if only our stock would go up. :(

yep V use Mcafee aswell, very good it is.......we've got it set to automatically update weekly......so far has picked up the BAd Trans virus 3 times...in the last 3 days........

I do internal tech support for a huge corporation. It's mainly Unix applications. The pay is alright--but it's really great considering my age (20), situation (college student), and experience (first job). And considering I work 2nd shift (spend most of time twiddling thumbs), yeah it's great. I recently got a pay cut when they made me a permanent employee, instead of a contractor. However, they have excellent benefits and pay for my college tuition.

I work two part-time jobs. First, I'm a Personal Assistant to an Admission Counselor at the college I attend. Secondly, I work at a small quilt shop downtown. Balancing work with school keeps me busy, but I enjoy it. :)

Well Mr. for your information it is modded quite well thank you very much. Though my website does not have all the current updates on it lets just say for a 2 liter rwd car that tips the scales just on about 2, 900 US pounds I have no trouble at all shitting all over corvettes, camaros, and most V8's.
I nearly have the hp at the wheels currently that most V8's have at the fly wheel and I am far from done. The next upgrade will put me over the 400 bhp at the wheels with an engine well over half the size of the cars I currently have no problem beat :flipa:

I work for my dad at his auto repair shop in the summer. (2002 will be the 5th year) Pay is determind on what exactly I do. Future jobs include:
1. Working at Shell with 2 of my friends
2. Local junkyard taking apart junk cars

Thats like ½ the minimum wage....

Camaro girl look at me. I make just over $20 hr NZF, yet was making nearly $45 hr when I lived in the States. Go figure!

You can not convert the currency persay but use it as a guide line

I only work in the summer as a lifegaurd. I couldnt work in the winter, between school and work.... bah, couldnt do it.

You can but considering a car that is 10 years old here will set you back on average of $10,000 NZF and the average pay is like $13.00 NZF converting will give a false scale to work by.

The cost of living here is much higher than that in the States overall.
Some examples

Cigerettes = $9.00 a pack
Milk= $3 per litre or about 1.3 qts.
T-bone stake = @$12.00 per kilo (2.2 us pounds)
Coco puffs $7.50 per small box
600ml coke = $2.00
2 large Pizza's at Pizza hut delivered $30.00 +
Qt pounder super combo at McDonalds = @ $5.25

Yea me to. I have owned two so far and will one day own a GTR but right now having a heap of fun with my lil 2 litre.

I know FTO would not want one, though she does want another 40kw which would be REALLY cheap to achieve in a skyline :p Ya have to love forced induction and the RB series engines.

BTW in GT2 I have one memory card devoted soley to skylines and the garage is nearly full :silly2:

An extra 40kw would be easy to get for my FTO too if I could afford the HKS turbo kit! :p
