alright, i just bought a complete QR25DE from a totalled 2002 spec-v. I want to put it in my 97 200sx se but I'm not sure if it will fit. its the 2.5l I've been told it will and it wont. It came with all this.
Engine
6-Speed Transmission
Intake & Throttle Body
Computer
Wiring Harness from engine through firewall
Alternator
Power Steering Pump
A/C Compressor
Half Shafts & Center Shaft
Down Pipe
Starter
Engine & Transmission Mount brackets only

So what do you guys think? I dont really know what the hell I'm doing with stuff like this so i'll probably have to take it in somewhere, but I'd rather just sell it if there no chance of it happening. any info would help alot, cause i've never swapped an engine before.

I have never heard of that swap before. I would sell it and use the money for an sr20det swap. You'll get more power there anyways. sr20ve swaps are always good too.

Would an Inline Six engine fit in the engine bay or is it to big?

I don't know of any 6 cylinder that fits into the 200sx easily. I guess you can make anything work with enough money. Your best bet is the sr20det swap. You can get more power outta that motor than most 6 cylinders anyways and it would be a lot cheaper.

maybe you shouldnt have just randomly bought an engine for your car without even knowing if it would fit into your engine bay or not. :loser: LOL ... and what kind of inline six would fit tranversely into the fwd configuration of a 200SX?? what are you guys smoking? :screwy: stick with the SR20 series engines for the US 200SX...

sorry but the only way to this swap is to get the front clip from a spec-v and shange out evrything and do some custom fab. work (its not worth the power gain when you can drop asr20det in it and smoke it in hp #s) I say ebay it and get a sr20 engine ve or det they are better.
