whats up evryone i was wondering if anybody could tell me the difference between projector headlights and HID's thanks

projectors are a style of headlight and the hid is a fancy bulb
500 bucks for a REAL hid kit and they are bright as hell, my friend has them in his 02 chevy fullsize
