Hi!
I've just purchased an 1990 Cutlass Ciera sedan. It's overall in good shape, first thing I had to do were brakes, both discs and pads, and the next thing will be the rear shocks. What do you think - was $200 a fair price? I will enclose some photos as soon as I can. What do you suggest I put my special attention on with this car? (It's a 2.5 liter version, auto).
Greetings to you all,
John

Hey John,
I had an '87 Ciera with the same motor. It was a great car. One thing you must watch out for is the timing gears inside the engine. These seem to go out about every 100K miles and will leave you stranded (won't do further damage to your engine like the timing belts on foreign cars)
Reapir can be about $1000. A good mechanic can listen to the engine and tell if they're about to go or not.
