Just saw that Revell AG are going to release a Sauber Petronas C22 in 1/24th scale. If it is anything like the Toyota TF102, I'm gonna go for two of 'em.

That looks pretty good. Looks like Revell is really trying to make some more good models now. I like that. :grinyes:

Dont mean to be rude but what do you mean by GOOD ?!?
Do you mean quality wise or what, beacause for me a revell model is the sort of model brand i'd advise a first timer to buy. Not being funny or anything but compare the quality of Revell's models to Tamiya's...............no comparison whatsoever !!!
Later, Mike.

Yeah, if you compare the quality to kits that like Tamiya makes and stuff, yeah, the Tamiya is way better. But Tamiya doesn't make cars like the Camaro and Silverado and things like that I really like to build. Also, Tamiya's are like double or more the cost of a Revell, of course they're going to be better. I've built Revell ever since I was about 5, almost 6, and now I'm 13 and I've enjoyed every Revell I've built. Yeah, when I stepped up to Tamiya, its way better, but sometimes a challenge is good to. Not trying to fight. Just stating my opinion.:)

I think I might get one of those, 1/24 Formula ones should look good next to my 1/24 collection.

Revell Germany's Enzo kit is just as much detailed as Tamiya's. In fact, some detail parts are better designed than Tamiya. So far, I have no fitting problem, and all parts are sharply molded, and they put together well. Tires are rubber like, and in correct sizes. Windshield is even and thin. I have the TF102, and I think post TF102 kits are definitely better than pre TF102 kits. (New designer, new equipment, who knows.) I expect the 1/12 F2002 to be just as good, and I'm sure the Sauber will be the same.

Another 1/24 F1 car is always a good thing, regardless of how good the initial kit is it is worth getting, after all, a skilled builder can still make a good model out of it.
mY :2cents:
BTW, I will be gettting one as soon as they are available.

I wouldn't think someone who likes Tamiya would advise a first time model maker to do a Revell if you think there is problems with Revell. Try any of the 2003 release Revells and you will see they are alot better then before now! I enjoyed building my Revell 78 Trans Am (huge fitment problems, bad scale, not much detail either) more then building the Tamiya S600 Benz I finished not so long ago. A Tamiya for me doesn't involve anything to keep me interested in it, even if it has an engine like the Benz did. Sure everyone is entitled to opinions but I have always built Revell and always will, in my opinion they kick shit in Tamiyas face. I've said it before, here it goes again, I'd rather get 2 models and a few months of building then 1 model and one week of building.
I hope I don't cause anyone to get annoyed, if you voice your opinions on giving Revell crap all the time I voice mine of my honest opinion.
Monogram = King brand of models, sweet detail and awesome dimensions :iceslolan

I think everybody should be entitled to their opinions. I mean i love Tamiya, and if there was a kit that was produced by two companies, i.e. the Tamiya and Revell's Enzo, then I would go with Tamiya every time. However, I would buy a kit from another manufacturer if Tamiya didn't make a kit of a particular car, in this instance the Sauber C22.
