I know there are many of you out there that have changed a clutch on one of these cars. I need some help. I cannot get the tranny off the engine! Is there some mystery bolt somewhere that I'm not finding? I'm very close to getting a cherry picker and just taking the whole engine out. At this point it seems easier. Anyways, please help me if you can. The car is completely bone stock, just a regular Civic DX 4D.
BTW, after I get a new clutch in it I'm selling, anyone interested let me know. It's dark metallic grey, interior is very clean, no accidents, and the paint still looks pretty good for a 12 year old car. 123k, sony CD, and Infinty speakers stay. I used the car for communting 110 miles a day for a while, and now I don't have to drive that much, so that is why I am selling it.
Thanks for your help!

I have done that job a couple of times, and have never had that happen to me. However, I would just do a quick check around the whole block. Make sure that the starter is out, and then follow the bell housing around and visually inspect every inch of it, there are some sneaky bolts right at the top and also right below the starter on the engine side (I think) that can tend to hide from you. If you are sure you have all the bols out, see if you can slide a pry bar into the crack between the tranny and motor, and see if they aren't just stuck a little. If that doesn't work, and you decide to use a cherry picker, just make sure that you bolt the tranny back on with at least a couple bolts, or else murphy's law says that it will come off when it is 6 feet in the air! Good luck, email if you have any questions!
