knock sensor esc code??

replaced engine on a 95 Bonnevill with 3.8 Gives code for knock sensor problem. Any body know the resistance in the sensors should be? Or come across this problem. Also have the same problem with 90 Pontiac Grand Am 3.1 engine? Thanks

First check the voltage at the knock sensor wire. Should be 5 volts.
Resistance reading of the knock sensor is around 100k ohms.

Most knock sensor problems I have encountered are due to a poor connection between the connector and sensor.
My suggestion would be replace the connectors on the sensors. A pigtail kit is available from GM parts.
