I drive a stang (hence my user name :biggrin2: ) well anyways my friend who has an Accord is getting an Integra GSR motor swap this weekend. He want's to race me, how will he do? I hear those GSR motors are like......real quick but i dunno much about import motors so thought i'd ask. I'll admit i run mid to low 14's. and i have almost 200,000 miles on my motor, heh. :headshake plus the mods in my signature.

I burned a 91 stang with my 92gsr when i had it stock. either i he sucked or i just blew him by a good car and a half length.

i agree the gs-r moror is fast i have a 93 gs-r and i gan beat stock mustangs ( never tried a modifieed) but that was before my clutch started going.... anyway i am concerned however about how it will perform in an accord? it is a common swap into a smaller lighter car and therfore will really be quick but isn't an accord heavier than a gs-r? i mean i'm sure it will be quicker than the old accord engine but probly not as quick as it is in a integra and definitely not as quick as in say a hatchback civic or crx. but this is just my speculation maybe someone else that knows for sure can clarify.

I dont know what you guys are talking about. A stock accord w/ GSR motor isnt gonna make miracles. I have an actual GS-R w/ intake, and I run a 15.1ish time. If you run a 14.5 than you will beat him, unless he's got plenty of other mods under the hood.
I dont like american cars, but im not a dumb ricer, and im not gonna say the accords gonna win without proper justification.

thats what i was tryin to say...
anyway...
I don't think a gs-r motor is a good swap fpr an accord there must be a better swap for it.

LOL, no way an accord w\ GS-R swap will beat you without a lot of mods and a good driver. Plus I don't think its a good idea to put a B series engine (i.e. b16, b18) into an accord. I'm not sure on this but, I think the h22 Prelude motor is a more common swap, not sure on that one though and if not that he could try the V6 accord motor :)

what year is the accord and what model? imo i think its pointless to put the gsr motor cuz of the weight.he should of atleast got the h22, and even still he gonna have a tough time beat u.

why doesn't he just buy mods for the accord engine... there has to be some somewhere, i really don't think the gs-r will cut it

No way can a accord with a gsr b18c1 motor can beat u since u run about mid 14s when a stock integra gsr run low 15's but in a accord i think it would be high 15's or low 16's y waste the money on a gsr motor for an accord when he can get a h22a which is a direct fit and has more HP and Torque to back that thang up

I'd say put money on the race...and then beat the crap out of him.
