Ceramic Composite brakes come standard on the Porsche 911 GT2. I don't know much about them. but i do know that they supposedly are awesome. In 2003 they will be available as an option on the Porsche Turbo. I was just wondering if any of you have heard of anything similiar being developed for the F60?

the ceramic brakes used on the porsche GT2 are laudable because of their outstanding heat dissapating abilities, i haven't heard anything about this being used on the F60 or any other Ferrari, or any company besides porsche as of now.

i don't know about heat disipation abilities, but i do know the surface hardness on the ceramic composite material is higher than metal so that means the size of the disc can be less. Also the density of the ceramic compisite is much less (about 65%) which also reduces the weight.Ceramic composites also produce a constant coeficiant of friction with heat and weather fluctuations. the down side is COST! and brake pad material.

By saying F60, I'm assuming you mean the Enzo. If this is so, then the Enzo does have carbon-ceramic brakes. They are 15 inches on all four wheels.
