ok first bit of info i drive a 1997 subaru impreza. and now the problem

ok with a few past experences ive decided that reguardless its allways better to just buy a new wiring harness whenever installing a new stereo so i did. ok i got my harness(female end) ok so harness in hand and stereo present i yank out my center console and take it inside to do the wiring. ok so stereo mounted and harness wired up to the stereo head wires heading back out to the car to wire it all up and discover the male end is not present. i never though to check it before now for some reason. and the problem is that none of the wires in the dash color match the wires on the harness/head wires. all help apreciated.

here i think these are the right ones...

Constant 12V+: Blue/Yellow
Switched 12V+: Yellow/Red
Ground: Black
Illumination: Green
Antenna Driver's Pillar
Front Speakers 6 1/2" Doors
Left Front (+): Brown/White
Left Front (-): Green/Black
Right Front (+): Red/Yellow
Right Front (-): White/Black
Rear Speakers 6 1/2" Rear Doors
Left Rear (+): White/Red
Left Rear (-): Red/Green
Right Rear (+): Blue/Green
Right Rear (-): Red

what you do is inventory your wires before you do any cutting and make sure you have all the ones posted above, they should be the right wire coding. you really only have 3 main wires that should concern you, the constant, switched, and ground. the rest are pretty self explanatory. good luck

yea the color coding of the wires inside the dash are quite far off from that. i belive that what happened is the previous owner cut the harness off and hard wired everything.
