1972 Dart engine problems. Please help out

After about 50 miles the engine overheats. I havent recieved the car yet but purchased it for cheep :smooch: . Is there a problem that happens a lot with this car are is it just mine. If so does anybody have any ideas

I would check the cooling system, also could be a bad head gasket(s).

Something like this could be a number of problems. Coolant system, bad head gasket (like Polygon stated), ignition timing, fuel mixture, etc. :banghead: Check out the easiest ones first....

I dont think it will be to bad of a problem. While im checking the overheating 340 out i could probably pop one of my stepdads engines in that he has sitting in the garage. :biggrin:
