im makin a special thing 4 my girl. I made her a poem and i decided to put it on a site with our song in the background playin so itll seem more sweet n crap u kno lol. But all the codes say you have to use MIDI songs, but i cant find Wayne Wonder - No Letting Go in midi... or the instrumental in mp3. But anyawys does any1 know like how to make a music player on the site, with like a play and a stop button? Thats like all i need to play an mp3 or a wav. Ive tried, but everytime i go to the site it pops up a thing that makes me save to dl. :confused: I dont know, im not really good with HTML just making a site and just need to know how to put music. Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot :smile:

Or, just make the site out of Flash... that's what I'd do.

lol true, il stick with the basic html. Do you guys know how to make like a menu of songs to choose from? Like when they get on the homepage, a song automaticaly starts but they can choose to stop it, or choose another from liek a drop down list or soemthing? Something like that?

True true, I hadn't quite looked at it that way... but anyways, I was just saying that that's what I would do LOL.

Sorry I can't help with the script though... I never bothered to learn Java, and HTML certainly isn't going to be enough to do what you're trying to do... So, my advice to you is to try and find some sites with free Java scripts... I know they're out there, and I'm sure you can find a script for an mp3 player type thingy stuff and um... yada yada.

There's a code I use on my AsianAVenue site, that only works on M$ Internet Explorer; but with this code, you can use mp3 files.

i dont see any codes in your site :confused: What i really need is something like a windows media player or a real player that you can choose the tracks in liek a drop down menu and it plays on the player on the site, so you can stop, play, foward, chose another from a drop down.. i found some but they confusing me..

I've seen that applet before, but .ra audio files aren't as common as .mp3, .midi, or .wav sounds files.

Here's the code I used on my page; as aforementioned, it works only w/ M$ IE:

<BGSOUND SRC="Insert URL of Song Here" LOOP="infinite">

Put that into the html of your page.
It doesn't have a play menu & whatnot, but it plays a song.

you could clone the webpage. At the top, you could put 2 picture links of a play and stop button. The play button would send you to the page with music on. The stop would send you the a page that looks to be the same thing, but with no music. Sort of like this West Virginian's Duct Tape for the Internet. :wink: Hope that idea will work for you...you won't be able to start it from mid-song though.
