Junior/community colleges aren't that bad... you can live in an apartment if you're desperate to get out of the house...
I totally understand the Crappy Math teacher syndrome--only it's a professor that's causing me to have a mere "C" in Calc 1 (which is my major--Math Ed) so I'm totally S.O.L. :(
But things can and will look up. Keep pushing yourself. I know it seems hopeless right now, but there is an answer somewhere... you just have to see it even if it wasn't exactly expected! :)

First of all...don't include the word 'fuck' in your college apps. Second of all, I don't care what grades you're getting, you can still get into a good school. So, it always good to weigh your options, but never give up. I work in the Admissions office at my college, and have daily contact with students in your exact position. Like Saturn said, community colleges aren't bad, but that doesn't mean you have to give up on the dream of going to a school that you want to go to.
So...if you want to talk...I'm always here to listen and answer questions. Email me or IM me via AIM. ;)

Lemme share something with you. I got straight Cs through high school, and I'm enrolled in a pretty good school right now. I took the summer and made a part time job out of filling out schlorship applications. In two months, I earned 13000$ for school (much better than any job I could ever hold right now). Again, I didn't make a 4.0 through school, and I had to work through high school. Trade scholl is also a good option if you really want to do that. I'm in engineering so trade school is out. (I went anyways for auto service for free on a grant :D) Another thing is a recent survey of millionares revealed that millionares regarded grades as as the 37th most important thing contributing to their success. The most important was integrity, so I wouldn't worry too much about grades.:)

Don't even worry about it so much, I was kicked out of five highschools before I finally gave up and got my GED I still got into a good college got a job after two years of working on my degree and now I’m engineering for BellSouth and make more money then some people with degrees. So don't let it stress you out so bad just make sure you do well when you get to college and if your failing a class just drop it before it hurts your gpa.

I got your solution, join the US Air Force and have a full time job and go to USAF Community College courses. You can have a full time job and go to school full time together. For more info contact me.

What the hell are you talking about? Civilian force, do you call us that because when you get out you have a better chance of getting a civilian job as compared to any other branch of service. Go ahead and argue, but go and do some homework before you start assuming.

to be honest man, its your PERSONAL STATEMENT that says it all. If you have the requirement classes for the university, your PERSONAL STATEMENT will weigh heavily on your outcome of getting into the college.
Same with me in Math, I hate math! I have TRIG too and have a D. But Trig is not a requirement for practically every school.

Really?! What do you mean by a personal statement? (sorry for being an idiot, lol)
Yeah, its trig now (well, math in general) thats bringing me down, everything else i do pretty well in, i mean, i have the occasional C and all, but i do decently.
Im sure ill find some school somewhere, but the air force does sound really appealing.....hmmm.....
well, thanks everyone!

well every one of the good schools always require you to submit a personal statement so they can get to know more about you and what you do and like to do besides school.
they usually give you two topics that you can choose from. here is the topic (from what I remember) that I chose when I applied to University of California Campuses (which was only about 3 weeks ago!)
--------------------
It was something like this:
There is a life besides the life in a classroom. Please describe one activity, two at the most, that you enjoy doing and how does it help you.\
hope this helps

Man, that's pretty good. Can you give me some pointers?? I've been filling out the forms for the big scholarships and I can't get any of them. maybe I should concentrate on doing a crap load of small ones.

.....i got my psat scores back too, 1140  so, im gonna need to pull AT LEAST 60 more points out my butt to be worth anything....but we didnt get to count writing skills this time, which was pretty high on mine, math brought me down (imagine that), sooooo maybe ill have better luck on the real thing.....
2.7-2.9 approx. GPA and at least 1200 sat......lets see.....i might find SOMEWHERE
