ok, I was reading a page on swaps and it was saying the H22 could bolt to my tranny (97 accord LX). is this true? because @ 80 right now im only at about 3k and I heard in a 92-96 prelude VTEC @ 80 its a bit above 4k.

anyways I know the shorter gearing makes it a bit quicker, but how much?

also will it use alot more gas on the freeway sitting at ~3800 instead of ~2600?

and is it much worse for the engine to to be at 4k over long periods of time than it would be at 3k?

also what size tires are on a prelude? I know my accords are taller than my civic.

It is true that the h22 tranny requires higher revs for the speed compared to the f22. I plan on doing an auto->manual swap with a h225spd. As for while you're on the highway that's what they make 5th gear for. While 4k isn't bad at all as far as short gearing is concerned I don't think it will be that much in 5th.

what, you dont think Id use 5th gear on the freeway?

and i never thought that the familys were inetrchangible but read this is possible and if it is I will just get the LB for 1k and then find a harness and computer.
