Well this is my 3rd model ever and i thought i would try a car that i didnt REALY like so if i stuff up it wont be a let down.
Its the Peugeot 206 WRC 2002 winner version. I wasnted to do somthing a bit different so i have decided to try a street version Pug.
All i have done so far is putty up some stuff:
puttied up a hole in the rear:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/modelcars.zip.to/Pictures/Progress/Peugeot206/peug1.jpg
puttied up some holes in the side skurt:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/modelcars.zip.to/Pictures/Progress/Peugeot206/peug2.jpg
puttied all holes in roof:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/modelcars.zip.to/Pictures/Progress/Peugeot206/peug3.jpg
sanded away bonnet bumps and will be filling the front air scoop (trying to get more a street look)
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/modelcars.zip.to/Pictures/Progress/Peugeot206/peug4.jpg
I will be lowering it and i am still deciding on what wheels to use.
You probably think i like the cars i have done so far.........but i dont lol Im a huge nissan fan and am deep into drifting and am trying to learn first on cars that i dont REALY love
Any ideas on paint or wheels?

I would say if you are gonna use the rims that come with it (i think they are the white 5 spoke OZ racing ones, but dont no) then do the car a nice gunmetal color, if you do any other rims use a dark sparkley red or dark or light sparkly green, or a nice blue saphire with sparkly's would all look tight.

Here is a quick small update:
I sanded the bonnet bumps off and then cut a small peice of styrene to fit over the underside of the bonnet holes:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/modelcars.zip.to/Pictures/Progress/Peugeot206/peug6.jpg
Then filled it with putty (I need to practice puttying) :cwm27:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/modelcars.zip.to/Pictures/Progress/Peugeot206/peug5.jpg
I will leave the putty to dry over night and then will sand to a smoth finish. I will then prime the body.
More updates tommorrow!

Well im stuck at the moment.
I let the putty (tamiya basic putty) dry over night but it still seems to be wet!
Will it dry? or have i used too much putty? :uhoh:
Im worried that once it painted the paint will crack. :shakehead :screwy:
I sanded it back but when i press on the underside of the styreen sheet the whole thing moves :sly:

well, personaly i have never used the stuff, only bondo body filler on modifiers, but i no when my bondo was like that i had to let it set and sit there for a couple days, if its wet, i would say its no dry, as long as u let it completely dry, and sand it down all nice and smooth you wont even notice it under the paint.

imo i think you shoud brace the underside a little bit more to stop any flexing of the filler, i assume that you didnt use very thick poly card for the underside, use some extra thick card. that should take away the flexing. and leave the model somewhere warm and dry.
other than that the model is looking great, i much prefer the smooth bonnet, looks much better, maybe you could include a small vent off to one side, do a search for "peugeot ecosse" on the internet to see their 206!

1) Lime green
2) Yellow
3) Black
4) Silver (I dont realy want to do silver mainly for the reason that GTI has already done it)

And imho I think you shouldn't use white wheels as they use them in the wrc and chromes would look more street I think. Should look good either way tho.

I put tutorial up in the model car forum.
Yeah that green does look amazing in real! but is hard to photograph.
Well here are some more pictures of the wheels. Im going to lower the car to this ride height. It still needs a clear coat to finish it off.

go there, give them a 206 and you can have a 206 wrc for real if you stump up the cash, so to answer Vyacheslav yes you could technicaly drive this car, as they would spray it any colour you want, i think that colour is from the 2000 kawazaki zxr12.
