brake lights out

Can anyone help with a brake light problem. All 3 lights are out. All other tailights are functional. We've checked all the tail light fuses (under dash and under hood) and checked the bulbs. All look to be fine. Any ideas would be helpful. Only thing not working on the car is the AC,but at $1200 repair, probably not a priority.Thanks everyone.

possible brake light switch gone bad or the brake peddle needs an adjustment. Most likely the switch. Its located above the brake pedal under the dash.
