When cranking the vehicle cold, I hear some clicking and ticking coming from the engine for about 5 to 10 seconds, then it quitens down. At first I dismissed it, thinking that it was probably that the engine oil hadn't circulated to the top of the engine, but, wonder sometimes if that is a correct assumption. Is this normal for this vehicle (62000 miles)?

I have seen many posts on this. Most of them say to replace the fuel filter. Hope this helps.

Once again incorrect....There are a number of issues with GM engines and cold start noises...most common is the cold start knock caused by carbon buildup on the pistons.
My recommendation is to have a factory trained and certified tech ( doesn't mean taking it to the dealer, but a tech you trust) listen to determine if the noise you are hearing is abnormal
