Im thinking of buying a long block assembly for my carbed mustang 5.0. The long block is a 302 rated at 350hp. I have the option to buy the crate engine but is alot more expensive. Will i be able to take every thing needed off my old engine and put it on the long block? Or will i have to buy all new performance parts?

u should be able to use the old parts, i don't see what not, its the same block isn't it? but if u get a long block u need to beable to use a torque wrench, just warning u, because a lot of people look over that fact... but if i was u i would get the preformance carb, intake, water pump and that stuff becuase thats what they use to get 350hp. otherwise you wouldn't be cranking the 350 out of it off stock parts
