Look I've just joined automotive forums. I just need some answers and advice. I'm in the military and I'll be returning from Iraq real soon. I have a Honda Civic Dx and I know this isn't the car to be tricking out. My questions to you all who want to help me out are.
1. What motor should I buy B16 GSR or B18c5 Type-R
2. What all do I need for the swap?
3. How long will this process be to have everything swapped
4. Now I was looking up streetimports.com but remember reading that THEY SUCK so what are good companies that I should get my engine from. Thanks for your help sincerely

What year Civic do you have? Also why nessacerily swap? The D-series is just as upgradable as a B-series. Check into it further and save yourself some $$$ in the long run. ;)

Actually a dx IS the car to trick out if you want to do a swap because it's an inexpensive, lightweight car. If you're going engine only, get the Type-R. If a turbo is in your planning then get the GSR. The process takes about two days (if you work fast and long hours) to a week and it's not really that hard. Get an engine from www.inlinefour.com or www.hmotorsonline.com and you won't be disappointed. It's all basically plug and play, take out the old engine and hook up the new one. If you get one of the Integra engines you'll need new motor mounts like from www.hasport.com, but all B16's will bolt right in because they are out of Civics.
