New car

Okay, I have been tossing this idea back and forth for a LONG time, and now I have 99% decided that I am getting a new car. Yes, I love my 4G4D a lot, and I keep it clean and well maintained, but it is STILL a 91 Civic with over 110,000 miles.
I have narrowed down my choices on a new car to a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS sedan, a 1996 BMW M3, or a 2000 Honda Accord coupe V6.
I will be paying for this car with my own money, as well as insurance, and full time tuition at U of I, as well as ALL my other living expenses and bills.
Right now I am searching through the market throughout Idaho looking for the right one, and my car is still in great condition, so I can drive it until I find the perfect car.
I will be selling my 4G4D with all of the mods and system for around 3200.
Generic short-ram intake
2.25" cat-back exhaust with OBX muffler
Sony ES CDX-CA760X deck
Kenwood eXcelon 6.5" coaxials x 4
Kenwood KAC-729S amp
JL Audio 12W3v2 sub in custom box
Perfect mechanical condition, new brakes, new HF tranny, no leaks, cold A/C, etc... this car is immaculate save for a few dings and scratches. New tires will be sold with the car, as well as a set of snow tires with about 65% wear.
Right now I am just letting people know what is going on, who knows how long it will be before I find just the right car. I am leaning towards the Impreza.

Stay away from the '96 M3, dont buy one just to have one. Those cars are very expensive to repair.

import a EDM VTi , 4th gen of course, u can pick one up here for about $3500 and i think importing fees are about $1000 so i am told, it would figure out a lot cheaper and its pretty different

The main reason your car is currently gut-less is because of the HF tranny. I had an HF tranny in my Civic, and it was s-l-o-w. The gearing is so tall you can't get the engine into the power-band and keep it there when attempting to accelerate. You shift at redline (~6000 RPM) and the tranny drops the engine to 2800 after the shift...how do u expect to go anywhere that way? :eek7: My mechanic tried to tell me I'd get great mileage, but it went from 31 to about 34. 3 mpg wasn't enough to account for the life the HF tanny sucked out of the car, and also since I had to basically drive the shit out of my car and had to have my foot on the floor for anything but cruising, the engine probably wouldn't have lasted very long to keep up with traffic. :bloated:
Anyway, there's my :2cents: - good luck on your new ride...I really like how clean you keep your car, but I think $3200 is a little on the high side...but someone might pay that much for it

I have decided on the Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. Ideally it would be the blue color with the larger stock wheels. Does anyone know if they made a leather interior for the 2.5RS Sedan?
Even on the stock LX tranny my 4G4D was slow, and I would rather have a better base to build from by buying the Subaru than to dump a shitload of money onto a car that has 110,000 miles.
First up on the Impreza is the soundsystem, which I will get at wholesale cost thanks to my kick ass job at a local stereo shop, and will consist of an Eclipse deck, Eclipse components, JL amps, and JL subs.
