Those don’t look like they’re out of control, but its got to be scary to be a home owner around there.

Fires = bad.
Until you witness a real fire from start to finish, you cant appreciate how fast it moves.
My garage caught on fire a few years back. Some people driving down the highway saw some flame through our garage window, and came and started banging on our door...we didnt hear the crackling since we were making hambugers.
Basically, in about 5 minutes, the whole garage was engulfed...the drywall was able to contain it for the extra 2 minutes until the fire dept got there, just in time (the volunteer fire dept is in a town about 8 minutes away; and they got to the house in 7 minutes, which was pretty amazing for a sunday at about 5pm).
So, fires = bad.
I hope they can put them out before more homes (and potentially lives) are lost.
Snowboarder; those are pretty close to your house....hope it doesnt get more serious.

Thank god for good ol' north carolina. We dont have wildfires here...well often anyway. I can imagine how scary having a fire that close to your house though.
