Illegals on saturday night.

Here's the deal, my car isn't all that fast (runs mid-low 14's) but the competition was weak and i went 4-0 for the night, if that isn't funny then i don't know what is :iceslolan . I'm humble about my car i know it's not quick but racing stock 4 cylinder imports makes me look like a friggin' beast. Well anyways at the start i pulled him pretty hard (gotta love 3.73's :sunglasse ) after getting out of 2nd gear we pretty much stayed even. He was at my rear bumper the whole way, but i think he may have even been inching up on me very slowly towards the end. It was close, real close. He had the typical coffee can muffler out back and it was lowered a bit. Just curious but does anyone know how much power/torque those things have? Also what their redline is to?

Well... the power output is totally dependant on the year of the Integra?

What did the front end look like? Did it have the boxy front end with the horizontal headlights or did it have the round front end with the four lights?

Also depends on what trim level it was...

The highest level of trim was the GSR and they have 170hp @ 7600rpm.

Have you ever run your car at Speedworld? Last time I was there, there was a red GT that was running high 14's (hot/humid conditions). It was during the "Street-legal" event they had.

Anyhow, what part of Phoenix you from? I'm obviously not expecting to beat you, but we should run 'em sometime.

No i've never run at speed world i just base the 1/4 estimate on the people i've run against who had their time-slips with them. One mustang, beat me by 1 solid car length, his timeslip read 14.2. So i'm pretty much guessing. If you want to run against me that's cool i live in NW Phoenix. Greenway to be exact. Where you at? If we do set something up then it'll have to be before the 25th i leave for Military training on the 25th.

I cant really remember what the front end looked like but i swear i heard someone say that the integra was an lx....? does that sound right? i didn't know that acura named their trim level LX. Or maybe they just didn't know what they were talking about. :screwy:

They probably said LS. Which is a trim level of the Integra.

nice kill buddy.

sad to hear a teg losing, but it sounds like it'd be the ls which means:
142 hp (94-96) or 140 hp (97-up)
127trq. stock runs around high 15's to low 16's.

If it was an LS, it have to be FAR from stock to pull his GT with his mods. Maybe they were saying LS/VTEC?

or it can be like what my friend got. an LS turbo. those things are beast!!! when boost kicks in, from a roll, traction is a problem, shift to second, there is questionable traction, and finally third gear is when its good. and thats only running 7 psi. i still gotta race the guy though.

Like this thinghttp://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/naughty.gif:http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/269247TurboLS.jpg

That thing's ready to go into the car, just waiting for the car itself. It's got a re-sleeved block, Arias pistons and Eagle rods, among other things.

Yeah it was an LS then, but his car definately ran faster than 15-16's in the 1/4 he must have had some go fast goodies under the hood i didn't know about er something. Like i said my car runs mid 14's and i only had him by like a car length. :eek7:

Running at the track and running on the streets are two different things my friend. Its all about reaction time-who hits the gas first- and driving. Im sure theres people that have beaten cars they shouldnt have on the streets.

Good kill none the less. :)

indeed, it is the highest model honda puts out.

an it doesn't take TOO much to get an ls down to low 15s-high 14s. a buddy of mine ran jus i/h/e/test-pipe and was a DAMNED good driver, and he could put down a 15.0 at the track. that'd put his car about...1 1/2-2 cars back, and if u put into account that the ls actually is decent off the line (nice torque curve for a honda), an then if u didn't hit ur launch an run perfect, an he did, then there u go.

still a good kill tho

Whoa there...

Thread is pushing 6 years old, it it's beyond dead my friend. She's already decayed, turned into compost, pressed into crude oil through the magic of time, refined and sold as gasoline by now.

I'm not even sure in what context your post is about to be truthful. But I'm going to close this thread. Not only because it's beyond old, but mainly the people who posted in it are no longer here to respond.

Welcome to AF by the way.
